Cranberry - so good for you

Magical cranberry! This berry is associated with the relief of UTI’s because of the acidity of the cranberry. But it turns out they're great for UTI’s because of the proanthocyanidins (PACs), which is also a great reason they are beneficial for some stomach ulcers, particularly the ones containing the bacteria helicobacter pylori.

They are full of vitamin C, which is essential for maintenance of skin, bones and muscle, manganese which assists growth, metabolism and the working of your body’s antioxidant system, vitamin E, a class of fat-soluble antioxidants and vitamin K1, essential for blood clotting.

But beware!!!

Most shop bought cranberry juice contains hardly any fibre and often has ADDED sugar! And we know how bad sugar is for us.
